Anacostia Park

One of the biggest and most popular parks of Washington, DC, Anacostia Park covers a large area of about 1200 acres. Started by the United States National Park Service, it has facilities and attractions like gardens, a golf course, a roller-skating arena, playing fields, swimming pools, picnic spots and much more. Langston Golf Course
Included inside the park premises, this is a 18 hole golf course. Complete with a driving range, four boat houses and three marinas, the Langston Golf Course is perfect for all golf lovers. The scenic surroundings make it an even more fun-filled experience. A boat ramp is provided for members of the public so that they can enjoy a serene and soothing boat ride on the Anacostia river.
Kenilworth Park and aquatic gardens
Species of plants like water lilies, lotuses and hyacinths are seen in the park. The beautiful aquatic gardens are a major attraction for all nature lovers, and these gardens attract flocks of birds. During the right season, the park is a paradise for bird watchers, as various species of birds visit the flowers.
RFK Stadium
This stadium has a capacity of 56,000 people. It is used for musical events, local and state athletic events and other gatherings. It is also the home stadium for football club DC United. Apart from this, a roller-skating arena is also present inside the Anacostia park. Picnic spots, open playgrounds, swimming pools for both kids and adults and many other recreational facilities are available.
